Today I'm here with the long awaited update to the Rockstar Marathon! Back in October I announced my Rockstar Marathon, which is a months long stream event where I'll be playing through every single Rockstar Games game up until GTA:VI's release. Me and Faye did a bunch of maths to work out roughly how long it'd take, when I'd need to start in order to end roughly around GTA:VI's release and stuff... but then in November Rockstar announced that GTA VI was delayed from May to November 2026. This obviously ruined my plans somewhat and created a few issues which I needed time to think about. Well now many months later I've come up with a plan! I always have a plan!

The Rockstar Marathon will now start on the previous GTA VI release date of the 26th of May! 

This works out for many reasons:

• It gives me a total of 5 months to do the marathon before GTA:VI's release. Previously I allotted 4 and a half months to do it.
• It gives me a month post GTA Marathon to sort things out for this.
• It's a fun date!

There is one issue though, and that's Josh Done Quick. (my yearly speedrun marathon which I do in August/September) I considered a few options: Cancelling JDQ (lame), moving JDQ somewhere else (there's nowhere to do it) or stopping R*M temporarily to do JDQ (sounds like a lot of work and bad for momentum). Eventually I had the idea to instead incorperate JDQ into R*M which I think solves the issue! Here's the plan: Every Rockstar game that I know how to speedrun (3D GTAs, GTA:IV trilogy, RDR duology and VCS) I will do during a special edition JDQ in the usual September dates. I will have to work out the exact schedule, categories, etc, but I believe it's doable. I will attempt to do them as well as the rest of R*M as chronologically as possible but I may need to move a few games around to make it work.
